Paula, the Director of All About Wine Pty Ltd, is a wine educator and promoter with 17 years experience. She has worked as a Wine Judge and occasional Radio Wine Commentator. Most recently she judged at the London International Wine Challenge and also judged for four days at the London International Wine & Spirit Competition in April 2010.
Paula has been a Queensland Councillor and a teaching member of the Australian Society of Wine Education. She has been responsible for the ASWE Certificate exam which has been completed by almost 2000 people nationally. She is Vice President of the Wine Press Club, a member of The Wine Guild of Australia, Queensland Inc. and a member of the Polo Club Wine Committee.
In 2002 she became co-ordinator of the Brisbane Fine Wine Festival which is a 3-day event featuring wines from all over Australia. This event runs biennially in June at a City hotel. Paula has conducted wine tours within Australia, France and Italy.
Paula was the Queensland Winner of the Negociants Fellowship and she has pursued professional development opportunities through the Institute of Masters of Wine and other organisations.
Paula has represented many Australian and International wine companies as a dinner speaker and promoter. Paula was a regular presenter in the taste theatre at Wine Australia since it began in 1996. In recent years she has acted as a convention and exhibition organiser for wine-related events including West Australian Wine Exhibition, Master of Wine Workshop and ASWE Convention. Paula has written articles for Wine Selector Magazine, Image Magazine, Grape Escapes, Inside Liquor and Winestate Magazine.
Paula has been contracted by several wine retailers to provide training and consumer events in all aspects of the Wine Industry. Clients include Vintage Cellars, the Wine Society & Australian Wine Selectors.
Her aim is to increase the numbers of educated and enthusiastic trade at the coal face, those selling to consumers, in an effort to increase domestic sales to a greater percentage of the population.
