Half-Day All About Red Wine
This course covers topics ranging from the magnificent three; top Australian wine growing regions; how wine is made; deciphering the label and identifying quality to help you get value for money with your wine purchases.
The day begins with the Mechanics of Tasting Wine including a taste of Several Reds and information why different regions suit different varietals. Next we launch into a major tasting of Varietal Wines. We’ll cover the differences between Warm and Cool Climate Wines and work out which wine to drink with what. In our Wine and Food Matching Workshop, you will have two different entree plates matched to different dry red wines and a plate matched to fortified red wine.
By 7:00pm, we’re ready to relax with a Wine Options Quiz just for fun.
