Introduction to Wine with Wine & Food Matching
The course covers topics ranging from the magnificent seven; top Australian wine growing regions; how wine is made; deciphering the label and identifying quality to help you get value for money with your wine purchases.
The day begins with the Mechanics of Tasting Wine including a taste of sparkling, red and whites and information on how wine is made. Next we launch into a major tasting of Varietal White Wines. We’ll cover the differences between Warm and Cool Climate Wines and work out which wine to drink with what. In our Wine and Food Matching Workshop, you’ll learn how to listen to your taste buds and identify quality wines.
You will sample white, red, sparkling and dessert wines.
